Marlene Smith
- Marlene Smith was a member of a group of young Black artists that included Eddie Chambers, Keith Piper, and Claudette Johnson, known as The Pan-Afrikan Connection and, later, the Blk Art Group.
- Smith was instrumental in organising exhibitions such as Black Art an’ done: An Exhibition of Work by Young Black Artists, 1981; and Radical Black Art, 1984, which blazed a trail for future Black and Asian artists.
