Said Adrus
- Said Adrus was born in 1958, in Kampala, Uganda.
- He lives and works between London, UK and Bern, Switzerland.
- His work focuses on new technology – as much in terms of the creation as in the presentation of his works and installations – particularly with the use of digital photos.
- His works focuses on migration – based on his personal story – exile, and homelands.
- One of his major projects, named Pavilion Series (2004–2014), has occupied his research and interest in the dynamics and entanglements of the British & South Asian Diaspora, and in particular the narratives of memory, war, and sites of mourning in a contemporary context.
- Adrus combines digital media with raw materials such as jute, cotton, hessian, and wood as well as with experimentation with drawing, collage, painting, print media, photo-based works, moving images, and installations.
